Prof. Dr. Oliver Scheytt
Oliver Scheytt has been general manager of RUHR.2010 GmbH since the end of 2006. From 2004 to 2006 he chaired the successful campaign ‘Essen for the Ruhr. European Capital of Culture 2010’. From 2003 to 2007 he was adviser to the German Bundestag’s study commission ‘Culture in Germany.’ Today he is an expert adviser to, amongst others, the German Federal Cultural Foundation and the cultural committees of the German Commission for UNESCO, and the German Association of Cities. Oliver Scheytt has published numerous papers on cultural policy and cultural management, and since 2007 is a professor at the Institute for Culture and Media Management at the Academy for Music and Theatre Hamburg.
