Christel Hartmann-Fritsch

Since March 2009, Christel Hartmann-Fritsch has been the managing director of Stiftung Genshagen in the area of ‘art and cultural teaching in Europe’. Following teaching posts and involvement in various art and culture projects in Germany and France, she played a key role in establishing the international youth art and culture centre ‘Schlesische 27’, of which she became manager and artistic director in 1983. In 1996 she published a study entitled ‘Art as a catalyst’, about artistic youth work in Europe. Christel Hartmann-Fritsch is an expert of the European Cultural Foundation in Amsterdam and, since 2003, has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk.
